Claiming prizes

Here's the process for claiming Missouri Lottery prizes.

Please note that all Missouri Lottery Offices may stop accepting claims earlier than 4:30 p.m. in order to maintain safety and security rules and guidelines.

There are no sales of lottery products in any of the claim centers.

In-person claims require an appointment. Call (573) 751-4050 or visit the Missouri Lottery website to schedule your appointment.

To use a direct deposit when claiming prizes of $35,000 and more, you will need a completed Direct Deposit form.

All jackpot prizes for Powerball and Mega Millions must be claimed at the Missouri Lottery Headquarters.

To claim a prize by mail, write your name, address, phone number, and signature on the back of the winning ticket and mail it to:

When claiming prizes over $600 by mail, you must also include a completed claim form and IRS Form W-9, and a copy of your ID.

About the Missouri Lottery

The first Missouri Lottery tickets went on sale in 1986. The Lotto game is Missouri's flagship game and has a minimum jackpot of $1 million.

The lottery began selling Powerball tickets in 1992, and Mega Millions in 2010. Lottery proceeds in Missouri are dedicated to public education, comprising four percent of the state's education funding. Since it was launched, the Missouri Lottery has contributed more than $6.5 billions to public education in the state.

You have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim your winnings. Unclaimed prizes will go toward Missouri public education.

The Missouri Lottery isn't responsible for damaged, stolen, or lost tickets. Keep them in a safe place. Signing your ticket helps prove you own it in case you lose it.
